Walk #1 July 19, 2011 Fleming Beach, Saxe Point and area walk
Starting at the Fleming Beach parking lot, we walked to Saxe Point Park, looked a a couple of historic homes, toured the grounds and interior of the English Inn, then walked to Macaulay Point to explore the historic fort. Spinnakers was the destination pub after the walk.

Walk #2 July 27, 2011 Esquimalt Walk
Starting at the Vic West YMCA centre parking lot in Esquimalt, we walked a few blocks to see some historic homes, then headed down to the waterside trails and along the Selkirk trestle. After walking across and back, we toured through several streets of homes that were built in the late 1900's and finally ended back at the starting point. We enjoyed a nice lunch and pint at the Moon Under Water Brewpub after the walk.

Walk #3 August 3. 2011 Rockland Architectural / Heritage Walk
We met at the corner of St. Charles and Rockland Avenue and headed off to find the many historic homes on this architectural history walking tour. Our path lead along Terrace Avenue and headed toward oak Bay Avenue. Once we were on the avenue, we headed east back to Rockland Avenue. There were dozens of interesting homes to look at and read about the builders, architects and owners.

Walk #4 August 10, 2011 Government House & Craigdarroch Castle Walk
We met and parked right outside the front door of Government House and started off on a tour of the extensive gardens and followed a path that went all the way around the house. We then walked a couple of blocks to Craigdarroch Castle and walked around the outside of this historic castle. Following winding local streets we made our way to the Langham Court Theater that was built in the coach barn of another historic mansion. We returned to Government house via a trail and local streets to collect our cars and headed off to the Ross Bay Pub for lunch. View Terry's photos.
Walk#5 August 17, 2011 West Bay Walkway Heritage Homes walk
We met near Spinnakers Brewpub and walked along the E&N railway tracks to the west, along Esquimalt Road. Stopping at Barnard park, we learned that this was once the location of the home of Frank Barnard an early premier of British Columbia. We then walked down onto the West-Song walkway and followed it back toward Spinnakers pub. A staircase took us up into one of Victoria's older neighborhoods where we found quite a few historic heritage homes. We enjoyed our lunch and a pint at Spinnakers pub.

Walk #6 August 24, 2011 Oak Bay Heritage Homes and trails walk
Starting at Oak Bay Avenue near the Penny Farthing Pub, we walked through old neighborhoods, trails and main roads looking at examples of architectural styles of homes. When we got to Runnymead Avenue, we turned back and went over to Windsor Road to walk along the scenic waterfront near Oak Bay Marina. After only a short distance we used a short road to cut back over to the avenue and then walked back to the Penny Farthing Pub.
